One night, a girl seeks shelter in the palace and says she is a princess. The queen wants to check she is telling the truth and puts a pea under a pile of mattresses that she will sleep on. The girl sleeps badly because of the pea, so the queen believes her, and the prince is allowed to marry her!

Reading with Fairytales: The Princess and the Pea helps to boost your child's reading skills by giving them an opportunity to hear the main story read aloud by a grown-up, to read a simple sentence together, and to interact with the illustration with Can You Spot? activities.
