Miles Kelly raises money for a beary good cause!

Everyone at Miles Kelly got involved in raising some money for BBC Children in Need last week to support disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

In partnership with the local Great Bardfield Primary School, Miles Kelly raised lots of money with fun Children in Need activities. Some of the Miles Kelly team went to Great Bardfield Primary School armed with oodles of bear masks for the children to colour in and transform themselves into wild creatures!

The school held a special Children in Need assembly, where Becky and Katie spoke to the children (who were all dressed in fantastic pyjamas and onesies) about why Pudsey bear is important. The kids also held a bake sale full of chocolatey goodies.

As you can see from the pictures, everyone at Miles Kelly and Great Bardfield Primary School had a great day! Our marketing assistant, Becky, was also interviewed on BBC Essex radio’s afternoon show about the joint fundraising efforts to spread the word about the simple things everyone can do to raise money.

Back at Miles Kelly HQ, each staff member brought a childhood teddy bear to work with them at their desks, in return for a donation to the fantastic cause. Some of the team shared lovely stories on why their bears mean so much to them – have a read! Awesome Pudsey bear cakes were baked by Becky and Thom, which were absolutely delicious – although we did feel bad cutting them up!

Together, we raised about £200 with our awesome Children in Need activities! Tell us what you did on Twitter @mileskellypub or Facebook @MilesKellyPublishing.
